Check out our recommendations and avoid most common mistakes.

  • Wash your hands with soap and water before touching the mask
  • Make sure there are no tears or holes in the mask
  • Segure a máscara apenas pelas tiras ou elásticos, fixando-os atrás da cabeça ou orelhas
  • Cover your nose, mouth, and chin
  • Make sure the mask fits snugly and there are no gaps on the sides
  • Avoid touching the mask while it is on. If you cannot avoid it, clean your hands before and immediately afterwards

  • Take it off from behind by the ear loops or straps. Avoid touching the outside of your mask or your face
  • Store the used masks in a sealed plastic bag

Face masks can be worn to prevent transmission, but the masks by themselves are not sufficient to protect you and the people around you. Whenever possible, keep at least two meters away from other people and wash your hands often, even when wearing a mask.
