Malaysia: Vale Minerals Donates to Six More Local Government Authorities and to the community of Pasir Panjang

On 19th May, Vale Malaysia Minerals (VMM) donated RM173,480.00 in supplies to six local government
authorities within Manjung and the State of Perak and RM75,000.00 of food aid to the community of Pasir
Panjang. The humanitarian support in a total amount of RM248,480.00 has been extended to the
authorities, frontliners and the surrounding community to help manage the impacts of the Covid-19
pandemic.
VMM believes that these contributions will attend the needs of frontliners to adequately manage the
current COVID0-19 pandemic situation within the State of Perak. This is the third batch of donations
from Vale Malaysia Minerals to the authorities and frontliners.
The community of Pasir Panjang is also receiving food aid from VMM to ease the burden of the communities
who are unable to earn a living during this difficult time. The handing over ceremony was honored by
Member of Parliament of Malaysia for the Lumut constituency, YB Datuk Wira Dr. Mohd Hatta Ramli and
Pasir Panjang Assemblyman, Yahaya Mat Nor while CEO of Vale Malaysia Minerals, Mr. Rodrigo Araujo who
delivered the contributions to the respective recipients.
