Vale sends task force to assist Brumadinho

On February 6, Wednesday, Vale signed an agreement with representatives of the Prosecution Office of Minas Gerais (MPMG), of the Public Defender's Office of Minas Gerais, of the Federal Public Defender's Office, the State Department of Social Welfare, of the Municipal Departments of Health and Social Development of Brumadinho, and of the Movement of People Affected by Dams (MAB), undertaking to bear all expenses incurred in the recruitment of 142 professionals (10 coordinators) that will join the city's health and social service teams, initially for a period of six months.

Vale will also bear all logistics costs incurred by these teams. R$3.23 million will be transferred to the city government.

On Wednesday night, February 6, the City Government of Brumadinho published a job bidding to recruit 132 professionals and speed up the composition of teams. There are vacancies for doctors, nurses, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and endemic disease control agents, in addition to administrative and operational positions.

Candidates may apply until next Monday, February 11. The bidding is available on , Selection Process 001/2019.

During the selection and mobilization process, Vale's health professionals will continue providing assistance to the population affected by the dam 1 breach, being gradually replaced by the professionals hired by the City Government of Brumadinho as they become available.
