Since the end of January, Vale has taken all measures required to support the prevention of COVID-19 in
its Base Metals operations. Globally, the company complies with the health and safety protocols
established by the authorities and agencies of each country. Vale also aims to globally support the
government initiatives and communities at a time when usual outdoor activities present risks. Among the
initiatives in Canada and UK (where the company has many of its Base Metals operations) are donations of
masks, games, food - and it also includes a CAD$100,000 donation intended to support skyrocketing demand
