Check out 8 tips about home office in the coming days

This week, Vale, like other companies, started implementing home office for eligible functions to preserve the health of employees and communities. To help those who will be working remotely in the coming days, we share some important tips.

Prepare your space. Choose a space at home to set up your remote office. Use a table/desk with enough space for your computer and a comfortable chair. Make sure that the lighting is suitable for reading and that there is no excessive noise. Limiting distractions will make a difference in your daily routine.

Dress to work. Changing clothes before you start working will help you shift your emotional state from leisure and rest to work mode. There is no need to dress formally, but you will certainly feel better if you do not wear pajamas all day.

Planning does make a difference. Organize your schedule to improve your results. Take advantage of the hours of the day when you feel most eager to make appointments and carry out more complex activities.

Avoid working overtime. Establish a daily work schedule, within the hours you usually work in the company. Follow your work schedule (start and end times). It helps you organize your professional and personal commitments.

Breaks are important too. Take breaks every hour. Get up from your desk, stretch your arms and walk around the house. Breaks can ease your body, reboot your brain, and boost productivity.

Frequent communication is mandatory. Connect with your work colleagues; that is, set up regular meetings for collaboration and monitoring of activities.

Life Matters Most. Save the time you would spend in traffic to invest in your family. Having the family together during remote work can be effective, safe, and produce great results. Talk about this type of work to everyone at home and explain its daily challenges. Planning activities and games to keep children engaged during the day can be helpful.

Be sure to keep in contact with colleagues, friends, and family. Social interaction is an important part of most people's daily lives. Do not hesitate to call a colleague, or friends and family, and talk about the most diverse subjects.
