Indonesia: Phase Two, Vale Donates 20,000 Rapid Test Kits to the Southeast Sulawesi Administration

PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (PT Vale) is distributing supports to the Southeast Sulawesi COVID-19 Handling Task Force (GTPP) for handling COVID-19 pandemic. In this second time, PT Vale provides 20,000 rapid test kits, 20,000 blood lancet units, 20,000 alcohol swabs, 10,000 surgical masks, 10,000 N95 masks, and 100 face masks.

The handover was conducted by PT Vale Government Relation Manager Asriani Amiruddin to the Head of Southeast Sulawesi Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Boy Ihwansyah at PT Vale External Relations office of Sorowako on May 15, 2020.

Previously, at the end of April, PT Vale handed over donation to the Southeast Sulawesi administration in the form of an ambulance unit for 6 month operational period, 800 units of anti-hazardous material clothes and 10,000 units of medical rubber gloves.

“We will take best measures to contribute and support the Government and people of Southeast Sulawesi in handling the Coronavirus. The pandemic has become global problem that it has to be resolved through multi-parties’ collaboration. Hopefully this provision of rapid test kits could sthrengthen the Province administration’s measures in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the region," said PT Vale Director of Support and Site Services Agus Superiadi.
