Vale offers more than 600 vacancies for its 2014 Internship Program

On Thursday, September 26, Vale began accepting applications for its Internship Program. There are 618 vacancies for students at technical schools and universities in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Pará, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Bahia, Sergipe, São Paulo, Goiás and Tocantins, as well as the Federal District. The aim of the program is to prepare students to tackle the everyday challenges found in their chosen profession through practical experience at the company. Interns are monitored and they participate in activities to stimulate the development of future talents.

There are vacancies for university students from various courses, such as Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Accountancy and Computer Science, among others. There are also vacancies in more than 20 courses for technical school students, including Mechanics, Mining, Electro-Mechanics, Electro-Electronics, Electrical Projects and Electro-Technical Projects. To participate in the selection process, university students must be scheduled to complete their degree between December 2014 and December 2015. Candidates at technical schools must be scheduled to graduate by December 2014, or they should have completed the technical part of their course by then, provided that they have not done all their mandatory internship hours and that they are still enrolled at their teaching institution.

Successful candidates will begin their internship as of January and February 2014. They will receive a monthly stipend of R$648.00 or R$972.00 (depending on whether their course is for technical or university students, and the number of hours), medical assistance and life insurance. At sites where the company does not provide transportation and meals, interns will also receive transport and meal vouchers. Interns will spend between four and six hours a day at Vale, depending on the activities to be performed.

University students:
- Graduation scheduled between December 2014 and December 2015

Technical school students:
- Students scheduled to graduate in December 2014, or graduates who have not yet done their mandatory internship.
Candidates must be enrolled at a technical teaching institution recognized by Brazil’s Ministry of Education.

At the moment, there are only internship vacancies for the courses listed below. Students doing other courses may apply, but they will not participate in this selection process. Their resumes will remain in our database for future Internship Program recruitment.
