RNV General Rules

Vale Natural Reserve is one of the largest protected areas of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, with 23 thousand hectares. It houses the Tabuleiros Atlantic Forest, one of the most threatened with extinction. In addition to discovering the beauties of the fauna and flora of our region, in the Reserve you will find full facilities for tourism, accommodation, meals, events, and many other activities.

Videos and Photos

Rules
  • The works must be held during the Reserve’s service hours (daily from 8:30am to 4:00pm);

  • Photographers and their teams must check-in at the entrance and go to the reception area of the Reserve in order to pay the Day Use fee;

  • Photographers must wear an identification wristband, which will be handed in upon fee payment; it must be applied immediately. At the end of the photo shoot, credentials must be removed and handed back at the entrance of the Reserve;

  • Video footage or photo shoots with commercial or media promotion purposes must be previously scheduled and can only take place if authorized by the administration;

  • Property damages caused, to the area, by any photographer or videomaker – including their clients – shall be their sole and exclusive responsibility;

  • RNV is not responsible for equipment, objects, and materials left on premises;

  • The use of electric power sources available in common areas – for equipment recharge – is the client’s full responsibility;

  • Video footage or photo shoots with people wearing bikinis, underwear or lingerie must be informed in advance;


  • The use of drones is only allowed when authorized by the Brazilian National Agency of Civil Aviation (ANAC, Agência National de Aviação Civil) and with prior permission from RNV manager;

  • Those who do not comply with these rules will have the right to photograph in the area suspended for 30 days.


  • Visitors are prohibited from:
  • Stopping or parking in access routes and vehicle circulation lanes is forbidden; use parking lots, where reverse parking is mandatory;

  • Taking photos in the forest without authorization (restricted area);

  • Climbing trees, as well as fixing balloons, banners, flags or any other objects on trees, playground toys and other structures with glue or by hanging, drilling or nailing;

  • Fully or partially blocking restrooms, hindering the access to it, while using photographic equipment, clothes, makeup, hangers, among others;

  • Leaving clothes, makeups, equipment or any other object in the area of the Reserve.

  • Picnics at Vale Natural Reserve

    Rules
  • Picnics must be held during the Reserve’s service hours (daily from 8:30am to 4:00pm);

  • Covered areas are not available for picnics (areas for rent);

  • Picnics must take place only in visitation areas. Visitors can use existing wooden tables or bring picnic blankets.

  • All waste generated must be separated according to the selective waste collection; plastic bags with waste cannot be left in the Reserve;

  • Use caution when riding bikes, rollerblading, skating, or performing similar activities. Accidents caused by inadequate behavior during these activities are the visitor’s full responsibility;

  • The use of electric power sources available in common areas – for equipment recharge – is the visitor’s full responsibility;

  • Vale Natural Reserve is not responsible for equipment, objects, and materials left on premises.

  • Visitors are prohibited from:
  • Bringing lunch-related food;

  • Stopping or parking in access routes and vehicle circulation lanes is forbidden; use parking lots, where reverse parking is mandatory;

  • Climbing trees, as well as fixing balloons, banners, flags or any other objects on trees, playground toys and other structures with glue or by hanging, drilling or nailing;

  • Leaving any object and/or modifying the environment in the Reserve area;

  • Entering a guided trail without authorization;

  • Bringing pets because, even the smallest, may cause damage to the wild fauna or catch a new disease;

  • Excessively consuming alcoholic beverages in the area of the Reserve;

  • Using any kind of object that requires fire to work;

  • Making loud sounds; the environment and people sharing the space with you must be respected.
