World Photography Day: check out exhibition tips and the most beautiful records of Vale's spaces and operations!


In order to celebrate the World Photography Day, celebrated on August 17th, we selected some beautiful images of Vale’s operations and spaces. In this collection, there are also records made by employees of the company, which reveal a different look from who is there, working in remote areas where the mining company operates. Below, at the end of the article, we give a special tip for photography lovers.

Culture, art and chat at Vale Minas Gerais Cultural Museum

Those who like to enjoy beautiful records of daily life can already prepare for the marathon of activities and free exhibitions that Memorial Minas Gerais Vale will offer in celebration of the World Photography Day. Check it out below:

Cultural traditions and daily life of Amazon populations, records of popular festivals, crafts, fishing, houses. This rich cultural collection is part of the work produced by the photographer Elza Lima, from Pará. On August 19th, at 4:00 p.m., Elza will present her work with projections and conversation with the audience

Photography and Cultural Heritage Circuit


How about a chat on photography, images, history of lives and cultures? Between August 16th and 19th, Vale Minas Gerais Cultural Museum will offer three sessions of conversation about the photographic world: Preservation, image and heritage policies; Photography, periphery and memory; and Our stories: orality, image and memory. Each activity will last two hours.

Vale Minas Gerais Cultural Museum

Characterized as an Experience Museum, Vale Minas Gerais Cultural Museum brings the soul and traditions of Minas Gerais, told in an original and interactive way. Real and virtual scenarios blend to create experiences and sensations that bring visitors from the 18th Century to the 21st Century.

Opened in 2010, the Vale Cultural Museum building used to be the headquarters of the State Department of Taxation and Finance of Minas Gerais. The historical building, dated 1897, is the place where the foundation stone of the city of Belo Horizonte was launched. The building is registered by the State Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage of Minas Gerais - IEPHA / MG.
