Vale Environmental Control Center receives certification of effectiveness

Vale Environmental Control Center, located in Nova Lima, received the ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certification again. The certificate recognizes the efficiency of the unit in the management and monitoring of quality parameters of air (particulates), water, noise, and seismography in requirements such as traceability, competence, and reliability of the collected data.

"This recertification demonstrates the evolution and maturity capacity of the techniques developed by the Environmental Control Center. Every effort and search for new technologies and methodologies reinforces Vale's commitment and transparency to environmental monitoring," says Sérgio Augusto, analyst responsible for the unit.

The Environmental Control Center is a Brazilian reference in innovation with the creation and use of new methodologies of automated measurements

"The auditors praised the traceability and qualification of the data generated in the unit. Data that, in addition to being extremely useful for Vale, can also be used by environmental agencies to support other monitoring carried out in the state," Sérgio said.
