Life in Regina

A tall crane sits in the sunset over vast, open landThe hamlet of Kronau, Saskatchewan, is a quiet prairie farming community of 200 people. But it’s poised to grow considerably as Vale’s potash mine comes online there in the next few years.

Kronau is located just 30 kilometres southeast of Saskatchewan’s capital city, Regina, which boasts an international airport, two universities, several colleges, a museum, science centre, art galleries and more than 100 parks. Regina was named after Queen Victoria during her reign and has a population of about 193,000, making it the second-largest city in the province.

Kronau is about 200 kilometres north of the Canada/U.S. border and almost right in between Calgary and Winnipeg, just off the Trans Canada Highway.
