Student or Recent Graduate?

Imagine Yourself Here

Student or Recent Graduate?

Students and recent graduates are the future of our company and of our country. That’s why Vale has created custom-tailored programs for students and new grads. Because we believe in that future.

Opportunities for Students

To see whether Vale might be the place for you, answer these questions:

  • Do you want to get a head start on your career?
  • Do you want to find out about the working world while you’re still in school?
  • Do you want an above-average wage to help to pay for next semester’s tuition?

If you answer yes to any of the above, then our extensive co-op and internship programs are for you.

During your term of four, eight, 12 or 16 months, you’ll work and learn alongside other students and Vale’s skilled professionals in any of our many locations across Canada. You’ll be making a genuine contribution to our workplace and you’ll discover the world of possibilities Vale can offer.

Many of our co-op students and interns choose to start their full-time careers with us after they graduate.

Whether you join our team with a background in chemical engineering, geology, mining engineering, a skilled trade, finance, human resources or another area of expertise, Vale has a place for you.

Our innovative Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and Geologist-in-Training (GIT) programs allow recent graduates to experience the amazingly broad range of jobs at Vale. You could spend several months in our state-of-the-art R&D facilities outside of Toronto followed by a few months working ground control in a mine in Thompson, Manitoba. The possibilities are endless.

We offer an attractive compensation package that includes competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, annual pay for performance, continuing education assistance, employer matching savings program, relocation assistance and more.
