Candidates from all backgrounds, who have graduated within the past two and a half years.

What to expect from the Global Trainee Program 2021?

Trainees will learn, dig into, and enhance their business skills, including project management, change management, and digital transformation. They will also be challenged by supporting multidisciplinary projects of great relevance for Vale, which will help trainees develop key leadership behaviors. The program also includes job rotations to provide recent graduates with an integrated view of the business.

Selection Process

Vale embraces diversity by recognizing that in a truly inclusive environment, the difference makes all the difference. We believe that our company must reflect the plurality not only of the communities in which we operate but also the public at large. 

This means that we take a different recruitment approach in which things such as gender, ethnicity, age, educational background, etc. are removed from the entire process until the last stage. In our selection process, we will evaluate your potential and capacity for future achievements.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have decided that the process will be strictly online and remote to protect the physical integrity, health, and well-being of our candidates.

In this first phase, we want to learn a little more about you. You must fill out an application form with questions about yourself, your studies, and your working preferences.

October and November



In this phase, you will learn a little more about Vale. You will need to solve some business cases, answer questions about how you like to work, and prove your ability to analyze and solve problems.



Interviews with managers

At this point, you will meet our HR team and hiring manager. You can use this opportunity to ask questions, meet our team and learn more about the program.




At this time, you will find out if you have been accepted into our Global Trainee Program and will receive next steps on how to join our global team.
