Vale believes that art is an important instrument in promoting social inclusion. As a result, we support the Vale Music project, which this month celebrates its tenth anniversary.
The initiative, a partnership between the Vale Foundation and NGO Phylarmonia Arte e Cultura, celebrated the occasion with a tribute show for Heitor Villa-Lobos.
Led by conductor Helder Trefzger, the technical coordinator of Vale Music, 140 students from the project’s Children’s Choir and the Vale Music Youth Orchestra presented a show called "The journey of Tuhú – Villa-Lobos – in Espírito Santo" at the theater at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil, on 12 October.
A special session of “Nazareth-Brasileirinho” was also held on the same day at Carlos Gomes Theater led by pianist and conductor Marcelo Bratke.
