In September, Vale won a Top Environmental Award. The award, created by the Brazilian Sales and Marketing Managers’ Association (ADVB) in 1993, recognizes companies that incorporate environmental actions in their strategies. Our company was rated in the top ten.
The Top Environmental Awards ceremony took place in São Paulo during a technical seminar at the Brazil-USA Cultural Union Theater. During the ceremony, the winning companies presented their main environmental initiatives.
First place went to Eletrobrás. The other winning companies were Philips do Brasil, AmBev, Nestlé do Brasil, Usiminas, Alphaville Urbanismo, the Pão de Açúcar Group, Guarany Indústria e Comércio and the CCR Group.
