Inácio Barbosa Maritime Terminal (known by its Portuguese acronym, TMIB), in the state of Sergipe, northeast Brazil, is connected to federal highway BR 101 and state highway SE 226. The terminal handles cargo such as coke, urea, cement, clinker, wheat and fertilizers.
TMIB stands out for its short docking time, as ships do not have to wait in the anchorage area. Operated by Vale since 1994, TMIB has nine warehouses, a port area of two million m2, and a 785,000-m2 customs area.
