The Feline Project monitors species found in the Vale Natural Reserve in the state of Espírito Santo, such as the jaguar. Using “camera traps” activated by animal movements, the project team has so far recorded the existence of nine jaguars in the reserve, as well as various other endangered animals.
A study carried out in partnership with respected Brazilian universities such as PUC – Rio Grande do Sul, PUC – Minas Gerais and the Federal University of Minas Gerais is analyzing the health, diet and genetics of the reserve’s jaguars.
