 Vale Music

Through musical notes, scales and scores, children and teenagers broaden their horizons. Vale Music was established in 2000 in Greater Vitória, Espírito Santo, and was extended to Belém, Pará in 2004 and the municipality of Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul, in 2006. Currently, 800 people benefit from the project.

Besides spotting hidden talent, Vale Music aims to strengthen communities in the locations where we operate by stimulating the spirit of enterprise, encouraging the generation of jobs and income, and promoting regional culture.

Vale Music Youth Orchestra

The Vale Music Youth Orchestra is formed of 131 ten- to twenty-year-olds from Pará. These talented young people were discovered by the Vale Music program in Pará. The young musicians share the stage with professionals and show how art can be an important transformational agent for individuals and the community.

The orchestra features string, wind and percussion instruments and its repertoire ranges from classical music to national folklore. Together since the beginning of 2010, the young musicians have experienced great moments such as performing the “Traveler of the Amazon Legends” opera at the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, which recently reopened after a long restoration.
