Let’s play! The Children’s Park is the right place where all kids can have fun at the reserve
Environmental education is one of Vale Nature Reserve initiatives. In the Visitor Center, we promote workshops and exhibitions that show how important is preserving the biodiversity.
One of the reserve’s seven scientific collections, contains seeds of more than 500 tree species.
The park administration guarantees that the reserve runs smoothly. One of the reserve’s main initiatives concerns environmental education. The administrative center regularly receives visits from schools.
The park has seven trails to hike along, led by guides, who encourage environmental awareness among visitors.
Hotel: an excellent opportunity to relax and enjoy nature.
A natural hydro-massage pool delights visitors to the reserve.
The park’s leisure facilities include swimming pools, saunas, a games room, a children’s playroom and a children’s park. If you feel like playing sport, there is a multi-sports court and a soccer field.
The park’s tree nursery helps to create new forests, producing saplings of native Atlantic Forest species to restore degraded areas of habitat.
Fauna: the reserve’s ecosystem is rich. Since 1950, researchers at the park have catalogued more than 2,800 plant species, around 1,500 types of insects, over 110 mammal species and 380 bird species. (lightbox for book with photos of the reserve’s animals) (photo gallery of the reserve’s fauna)
