A social-economical and environmental suitability plan of properties affected by the collapse of Fundão tailing dam will be developed by the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company of Minas Gerais (Emater-MG), according to a services agreement executed on this Monday. The document also provides for the preparation of a diagnosis of about 300 affected properties in the cities of Mariana, Ponte Nova, Barra Longa and Rio Doce.

For Roberto Waack, one of the most important aspects of working with Emater-MG is the creation of actions for integrated use of land and its interaction with the river. "The main objective is to integrate agricultural production with environmental conservation, and to promote generation of social, economic and environmental benefits for everyone," said the Chief Executive Officer.
