The Vitória-Minas Railroad (EFVM), with 905 km of track, is one of the most modern and productive railroads in Brazil.
The Centro-Atlântica Railroad (FCA), with 8,066 km of track, runs through the states of Minas Gerais, Goiás, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Bahia and Sergipe, as well as the Federal District.
The Carajás Railroad (EFC), with 892 km of track, links the interior of Pará state to the main seaport in the Northeast Region, São Luís, in the state of Maranhão. It carries mainly ore and general freight, as well as some passenger traffic.
